First born

My friend Lyndy did this, and i have seen others doing this....as i have read them, it has been fun thinking of my answers....it is probably only fun for me, but for anyone who may be interested in taking a walk down memory lane with me, here it goes.
Any of you who are mom's and have not done this yet, i will say, post it sometime....i would love to read!
1. Was your pregnancy planned? yes

2. Were you married at the time? yes

3. What were your reactions? excited....I always wanted to be a mom!

4. Was abortion an option for you? No

5. How old were you? 19 (could i have been a statistic, teen pregnancy?)--20 when she was born

6. How did you find out you were pregnant? home pregnancy test

7. Who did you tell first? After my husband, my parents

8. Did you want to find out the sex? No....not knowing is what kept me going to the end! there had to be something exciting to come from this!!!

9. Due date? March 23

10. Did you have morning sickness? If you call throwing up 14 times a day for 4 months straight morning sickness....then yes!!!

11. What did you crave? Once food sounded good again, Taco Bell Nachos! (and, my husband would probably add, anything we didn't have at home....i would send him to the store to get something....by the 4th time out, he realized maybe he should just get a few of that item, for me to decide i didn't want it!!!

12. What irritated you? just being sick, and missing out on a concert I was supposed to go to with my husband and bro and sis in law, but i was too sick

13. What was your first child's sex? Girl

14. Did you wish you had the opposite sex of what you were getting? No....I always thought it would be fun to have a girl first, a girl last, then whatever I had in between would be ok.....i liked the idea of doing little girls hair!

15. How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy? Well, I lost 25 pounds at first, but then put that plus more on once i started eating and keeping food down.--doesn't pregnancy sound like fun!

16. Did you have a baby shower? Well, my visiting teachers had one planned for the day i went into the hospital....so, instead they brought the gifts to me when the visited me at the hospital!

17. Was the shower a surprise or did you know about it? I knew

18. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? My last dr appt. i had high blodd pressure, thus leading to inducing me....it was only 2 days before my due date....and 5 days after hosting my family of 8 siblings and parents for a weekend of skiing in our 1 bedroom apartment.....do you think there was readon for high blood pressure!

19. Where did you give birth? LDS hospital, Salt Lake City, UT

20. How many hours were you in labor? I think 13.....i can't remember when contractions started,,,,but 13 from when i was induced

21. Who drove you to the hospital? I did!! I was at the dr. office....told my blodd pressure was high....he told me to get to the hospital....i said i would go home, get my stuff packed....he had told me not to worry about packing ahead of time with the first....i would have plenty of time when i started having contractions....what do drs. know?--he told me no....i needed to go right away!!

22. Who watched you give birth? Matthew

23. Was it natural or C-Section? C-section

24. Did you take medicine to ease the pain? You better believe it!

25. How much did your child weigh? 8 lb. 1 oz.

26. When was your child actually born? March 22, 1996....3:35 am
27. What did you name him/her? Jessica Nash
