35 never looked so good!!!???

Happy 35th Birthday to Matthew on March 28!!!--It wasn't quite the party that Jessica had, but we made it a fun evening, after he had a busy work day!!! He requested Lasagna for dinner, then after eating, he opened up gifts.

The kids gave Matthew the game Mouse Trap for his Birthday....so, after all the gifts were opened, we played Mouse Trap. We also gave him another game, RUMIS....if you have never played it, it is a fun game! Worth looking for and adding to your collection!
It wouldn't be Matthew's birthday without a cake from Dairy Queen!!! (we are glad he likes those....we figured out that in a matter of 7 weeks, we celebrate 4 birthdays....so, it is nice to have something other than your typical cake!!!)

What's in a Card Board Box?????

Don't you love what kids will do with a card board box....we got this with a tv stand for our new tv (yes, Matthew finally has his graduation gift....we had been looking for a year, and finally found a GREAT deal on a 50 inch tv).....anyway, the kids quickly turned it into a spaceship! Here is Kayleigh posing in the box!!!!

Easter Sunday

Ok, so I find this sort of a funny Easter Sunday post!!! Matthew was in charge of the camera....he is the camera man in the family, and this is the only picture we have of the kids on Easter! They had fun looking for candy and money filled easter eggs around the house, and they all looked pretty/handsome in their sunday clothes!!! Then....I knew he was taking pictures while the kids were looking for Easter Eggs....I figured some of them were of the kids....I knew he took one of our easter bunny :) .....But, apparantly that was all he was taking! There were at least 6 pictures of our rabbit taken that day!!! The thing that makes it really funny, is how much Matthew claims to not really like having a pet!!!....he says animals and pets in general are just work, they shed, they stink, etc. And, he has finally just given in to owning a pet!!! I would like to suggest the contrary.....that Matthew does like this rabbit....and I have pictures to prove it!!! Kids pictures 1.....Rabbit pictures 6!!!!!

Jessica's Birthday

The party continued!!! Jessica's Birthday was on Saturday, March 22. She opened presents in the morning, then we colored easter eggs....Jessica had a b-day party to go to of a friend (from church who was also turning 12 that day)....then we went to Chuck E Cheese, then home for cheesecake. It was a fun day! I still can't believe I have a 12 year old. She has been to mutual already, Jessica and I went to the YW General broadcast last night, I have turned in her camp registration form....crazy!!!

We gave Jessica Tennis Shoes among the Nephites on CD....we also gave her a CTR ring, but the picture didn't turn out too well.
Jessica got a webkinz monkey from Grandma and Grandpa, and clothes $....Jessica is looking forward to going clothes shopping durring spring break!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!

The Party Begins!!!

So, the party begins!!! Jessica will be 12 tomorrow.....crazy! We had a birthday party for her last night.....we invited 11 girls over for a slumber party......9 of them came....3 of whom had to leave before the slumber part (which did eventually happen....around 1:30)!!! So, we had 6 girls sleeping here....it was a house full of excited, squeeling girls!!! It was fun. Jessica has a good group of friends.... It was about a 50% mix of church/school friends, and they all got along soooo well!!! We let the girls decorate their own mini cakes, opened presents, and had fun playing a lot of group games, including the name game, the question game, telephone charades, knock your socks off, and a few others. Happy Birthday Jessica!!!!

No Concept of Time

A 3 year old really has no concept of time, and sometimes it can be cute and heart wrenching at the same time!

On Friday, my mom called to visit for a little bit. In the process of us visiting, she asked to talk to Kayleigh. She told Grandma that she and I were getting ready to play a game. To which Grandma asked "Kayleigh, can I play a game with you when I come out to visit you?" To which Kayleigh said yes.

Ever since, Kayleigh has said many times, with the excitement of a 3 year old, "Grandma is going to come play a game with me!".....as if she is waiting for Grandma to walk in the door at any moment to play a game with her. I have tried hard to explain to her that JULY is still far away, and yes when Grandma gets here in July she will play a game with her, but it is a while......I still think she is wondering where Grandma is!!!

Oh, I wish she understood time better......I really hope this excitement will be there in 4 months!!! I am sure it will be....but in the meantime, Mom....if you want to come visit earlier, Kayleigh is ready to play a game with you!!!!
