Welcome, Cousin Owen!!!

Cousin Owen was born on December 24, 2009.....we love living close enough that we were able to go visit him on Saturday, December 26!!! He is such a cute baby! Matthew was kind enough to take our kiddos home that night, and I stayed to help Alisa and Ryan make it through their first night at home with a baby....my mom came the following day from Utah......it was fun to get to hold a new born baby!!!! What a sweetie! Congrats to Alisa and Ryan!!!! We love you guys!!!

Christmas 2009

Here is a slide show of our Christmas Eve and Christmas morning!! It was a great couple of days....excitement was in the air, and the best part, Santa came (and delivered)....ok, the best part, we were all together as a family creating some fun memories!!!

Change of Tradition!!!

Usually we have a Christmas cookie baking Saturday in December....but, I didn't want all the cookies around.....so, we had a spoon dipping (into chocolate and candy cane....later used in a cute hot chocolate basket for teacher's gifts) and gingerbread house decorating Saturday. It was a lot of fun!!!

Kayleigh definitely wins the award for sticking with the gingerbread houses the longest!!! She LOVED it, and just kept going!!!!

December can be EXHAUSTING!!!!

Just ask Kayleigh!!! Two days in a row, she just fell asleep in the middle of the day in the most random places on the floor!!!!!

A visit with SANTA!!!

We had a ward Christmas party at the beginning of December! The Christmas magic really began when the kids got to visit with Santa!!!!

Thanksgiving!!!

Obviously, I am playing catchup!!! When I got on to post Christmas, and realized I haven't even posted Thanksgiving, I realized I have some catching up to do.....and, not to mention the fact that my background was still on Halloween.....I guess I have been enjoying the reality of the Holiday, as opposed the the cyberspace reality????
For Thanksgiving, we went down to my sister's, Liz' house.....we spent the night there Wednesday, and spent the day of Thanksgiving there.....my sister, Alisa and her husband were there, too. It was fun to spend Thanksgiving with family!!! Thanks Liz, Travis, Calvin and Miles for hosting us!!!

Fort Lewis 10 K

Yesterday I ran in my first official race! It was a 10 K up at Fort Lewis....about an hour and a half north of us. My brother-in-law, Ryan, told me about it....he ran in it, too. How fitting, given that he was the one that had me start running back in January!!! It was a fun race.....my goal was to finish, and I did! I did it in the time I thought I would....maybe about 5 minutes less! I ran the WHOLE time! It felt good! I plan to run in more races....hopefully a 1/2 marathon at some point!
