JARED IS IN BOY HEAVEN!!!

Jared is loving life these days! He is truly in boy heaven! Our backyard is full of all kinds of living things that he loves to FIND AND KEEP!.....FROGS (he finds at least 2 a day.....I have only let him keep the one from the beginning of the summer....the others he has to let go at the end of each day, but not before he lets Slimy play with them!)......GRASS HOPPERS (dozens a day....I think right now he has 6 in his grass hopper bucket!!!).......and SLUGS GALORE!!!! It is definitely occupying his time these days....and, funny thing is, Kayleigh likes it as much as he does!

RIDING BIKES!!!

We were cleaning out our garage the other day, and when I went to hang up one of Jessica's old bikes, Kayleigh said she wanted to ride it.....so, I decided to see if she could.....and sure enough, she loves it! We go out every day to ride. The funny thing is, Jared could care less about riding his big training wheel bike.....he prefers the tricycle.....in his defense, though, he di have a bad crash on his training wheel soon after he got it....he hasn't wanted to use it since!

Movie Suggestion

We just got done watching a great movie.....perhaps we are late in watching it and everyone has watched it already, but if you have not seen BRIDGE TO TARABITHIA you have got to rent it!!! We loved it.

Fresh Blueberries!!!

Our neighbors, who we love so much.....just brought over a whole bunch of fresh blueberries that they picked this morning from a nearby blueberry patch! Right now I am making blueberry pancakes....yummy! I think we will have to go pick some blueberries before summer is over....the kids (well, not Jared....he wont even try them) love the bueberries! I love living here!

Keri Has a New Look!!!

Well, after years of dealing with thin, straight hair, I decided to get a perm! I think I like it....Matthew said I look like a kid again....like when we first met....not sure if that is a good thing or not.....but, he was attracted to me then, so it can't be too bad. Jessica likes it....Jared and Kayleigh keep closing their eyes and running away from me!!!

4th of July

Happy 4th of July! Well, despite the crazy fireworks around here, we had a fun 4th of July. We went to a pancake fee that a family in our ward did for anyone who wanted to come. That was fun to visit with some people. Then we went to see Jimmy Neutron (for free) at the movie theatre. The theatres are showing movies every T, W, and Th for free.....they are movies that are already out on video, but it is still fun to go.....we are taking advantage of a fun outing as often as we can. We came home and had fun swimming in our pool. We got a new lizard for the kids to play with. They had fun. Then, we had a couple of families over for a BBQ, and to play games. One of the families moved into the ward the same week we did....the other family moved here about a month before us. Both families, I think we will be good friends with here. One of the guys served his mission in Boston, so it was fun talking to him.....he actually was in the Marlboro ward, and knows the Nixons and Alexanders....and a few others. So, it was fun to visit with him. They left to go home around 9:00---they have young kids that they wanted to try to get to bed. Then, the fireworks started. We went on our front lawn with blankets.....the neighbor kids came over and joined our kids on the blankets.....and we watched firework shows....it was crazy.....they were like the professional firework shows, just being done in the streets of our neighborhood by anyone who wanted to do them. It was a late night, but fun.

A Rainy Day!

It seemed to be raining a lot of the time Grampy was with us! Really, it is the most rain we have seen since we have been here. On Saturday we were hoping to go to a park that has a nice hiking area by water falls.....our plan was to bring a picnic. But, we woke up to a very rainy day. We didn't let that stop us, though!......we went to the park, rainy day style!!! we all got in the car (the couch) and drove to the park
then we hiked up the rocks (the stairs)
And then we found a great picnic area to have our lunch!!!!
